HostGator Vbulletin forum

Vbulletin forum software is easy to install on Host Gator. From the features that Hostgator offers, Vbulletin is supported and because of PHP5 support you can take advantage of more advanced and faster forum. I have forum installed and the pages load fast. Many mods can be installed and are supported. HG has great servers and many members can browse the forum at the same time. But not only vbulletin can be installed but also other forum software like phpbb, phpbb, mybb etc. for which I will talk later on this blog.

Short install guide:

After you have downloaded VB from vbulletin.com extract the files to an empty folder. Then you create database with mysql manager in you Control Panel. With FileZilla or other FTP software upload your files to the directory where you want to install vbulletin. Run example.com/install/install.php from your favorite web browser (I recommend you mozilla firefox). Replace example.com with your domain name and follow the install steps.
